Aimed at inspiring and empowering teachers nationwide, this event celebrates creativity, storytelling, and the vital connection between the performing arts and student wellbeing, while supporting the ongoing rebuilding of a vibrant Performing Arts community in a post-COVID landscape.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
DR EMMA WATKINS
Dr Emma Watkins is an accomplished performer, educator, and beloved children’s entertainer, best known for her ARIA Award winning character, Emma Memma. With a strong background in dance, sign language, and early childhood education, Emma is deeply passionate about making the arts accessible and inclusive for all young people. In her session, Emma will explore the importance of arts education and student wellbeing, highlighting how storytelling and the performing arts nurture confidence, personal growth, and a strong connection to community.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
JASON COLEMAN
Jason Coleman is one of Australia’s most renowned choreographers, directors and creative visionaries. He has worked with leading performers, choreographed for high-profile productions and served as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Jason is the founder of The Ministry of dance, Melbourne's elite performing arts college and agency, dedicated to preparing young people for global stages. Jason will share insights into the creative process, focusing on how to craft meaningful emotional experiences through performance. Expect an inspiring look at that magical moment when creativity “clicks”, and the powerful impact this can have on both students and audiences.

KIDS HELP LINE
Kids Helpline will speak about student wellbeing in schools and why they believe the Performing Arts has a positive impact. They’ll provide valuable perspectives from their work with young people, emphasising the importance of creative outlets for mental health and resilience.
