The Victorian Government is proud to be the major partner of the Wakakirri Secondary School Challenge in Victoria.  The Wakakirri Secondary School Challenge makes a real difference to the lives of young people, enabling and empowering them to participate in society in productive and creative ways. Through Wakakirri, young people develop leadership, production, communication and performance skills and are also recognised for their team work, commitment and creativity.

Established in 2001 Reconciliation Australia is the national lead body on reconciliation in Australia. Reconciliation Australia promotes and facilitates respect, trust and positive relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Reconciliation Australia supports the Wakakirri Association to meet the aim of promoting participation in Wakakirri programs by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and assists Wakakirri to promote reconciliation with the national Reconciliation Story Award. Wakakirri’s long term Patron, Professor Tom Calma AO, is Co-Chair of Reconciliation Australia.

Media Partner – dancetrain magazine

Inspiring and educating Australia’s student dancers since 2000.  dancetrain magazine is a gorgeous 112 page book produced every two months.  The only dance media to shoot and film Australian student dancers performing.  Every year dancetrain features a double page pictorial spread of Wakakirri students.  A favourite teaching aid for high school dance teachers.

Australian Children's Music FoundationThe Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) was founded in 2002 by Don Spencer OAM. It is a registered charity that provides free, long-term and sustainable music programs to children and youth at risk in schools, juvenile justice centres, and music therapy in hospitals – particularly the disadvantaged and Indigenous. Worldwide research has proven that participation in music making has significant educational, emotional and social benefits, and yet the majority of Australian public schools do not have a dedicated music teacher. For the growing number of children who suffer trauma, hopelessness or despair, the ACMF music programs bring joy and hope, and achieve positive educational and behavioural outcomes.

BZAF has saved 93 potential lives and the 1800 0 Bully Helpline has answered over 15,000 calls. Over 1,000,000 primary and secondary school students have been educated through the Foundation’s programs.
