Performing Arts Careers Day

2020 Event Details
Based on the rapidly changing situation with Co-Vid 19, we regret to inform you that the decision has been made to cancel the Wakakirri Performing Arts Careers Day event (due to be held at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance studios on 8th May, 2020).   Our primary concern is ensuring the health and safety of all attendees and guests. Wakakirri 2020 shows are still on and we will be keeping you up to date with the latest at Wakakirri here.

All Secondary School students in Victoria are invited to attend our FREE Wakakirri Careers Day event.

Careers Day is hosted by prominent Entertainment Industry Professionals who also make up the Wakakirri team of National Panel Reps

Your school is invited to bring along a team of students and teachers where you will be inspired, encouraged and informed about what it takes to succeed in the Entertainment Industry.

Industry professionals will reflect on their career, talking about career pathways that they have taken and discussing how the students can use event like Wakakirri to enhance their own career prospects.

“Thanks for the great industry day yesterday. The students walked away going ‘oh good, we are on the right track and we need to do this and this” – Hoppers Crossing College

“I just wanted to say how positive it was for our students. They came away feeling we were on the right track and really keen to get back into the rehearsal studio. It has allowed us to tweak a couple of our staging ideas with lighting and sets. So we had winners all round. Thanks again” –  Reservoir High School

Teachers are invited to bring a team of passionate students, who have an interest in learning and creating pathways into the performing arts world.

The Performing Arts Career Day experience includes;

  • 5 x Key Note Speakers plus Q&A
  • Hands on workshops
  • Media Launch
  • Photo and Interview Session
