the other class, and the year 4's go to the Alphington Scout hall to practise.
Our item is called 'CIRCUS'. I hope I'm a horse because I think I'm good
at pointing my toes, and keeping my head up at all times. LOVE YOUR STAR,
TAMARA

• Thank you to Wakakirri for organising this event. This was the
first time I have participated in it and I had a great time on the night.
Everyone at my school, Chipping Norton, said it was awesome. Dimi
• My school was in the heats in Victoria. The first second I stepped
on stage I was so nervous. But when I got up and danced I wanted to do
it all again. I was one of the 3 representatives for my school to come
up and talk to the audience about my item. Again, I was nervous, but in
the end, I felt like doing a jiggly dance in front of the whole audience!
Meghan, Surrey Hills Primary School

• My friend and I were visiting this site as we did Wakakirri in
2000 - 2003 and wanted to see what you all have been up to. My friend’s
sister participated in this year’s event and we went along to watch.
It has changed so much since we did it and we were very pleased to see
that you are now taking on high schools to participate. We had so much
fun in primary school that we are going to try out for it next year. 3
hip hip hoorays for Wakakirri as you gave us the chance to GROVE ON STAGE
and we would like to do it again!!! Rock on!!!! We love you heaps!!! Kayla

• Wakakirri was the best experience I have ever had in my life.
It was so fun I recommend it to all students who were not in Wakka. Everyone
did an excellent job and everybody put so much time and effort to create
wonderful performances. Everyone should be very proud of their performances.
It is the first time I have ever been in Wakka. I had the best time of
my life. Hannah, St Joseph's Bulli NSW

• I would just like to say that our cast had an awesome experience
at the Wakakirri finals! It was loads of fun and although we didn't win
we felt just as proud as the winners because we know that we tried our
best. We were just happy to make it to the finals. Winning isn't everything,
you also have to have fun! And even though I was just a tree I know that
with out the trees and the rivers our performance wouldn't have been the
same! Aimee, Sandy Strait State School

participate in an excellent story dance. I love to dance and Wakakirri

• Well it was the most fantastic thing in my life. I had the most
fun ever. The teachers were fantastic and so was the Wakakirri team. If
anyone else had this going on at their school make sure you try out for
it because this is an opportunity that you don’t want to miss. Oh

as much fun as the girls. Thanking you a lot for this opportunity to tell

• This was my first meeting with Wakakirri on Monday night. I was
most impressed with every single thing that I saw, from the organisers
to the hundreds of children in the show. What a wonderful learning experience
for everyone involved in the presentation. I look forward to my next opportunity
to share with my grandchildren as they perform in Wakakirri. Keep up the
excellent very hard, but worthwhile work.
• Last night I attended the Wakakirri performance of Tasmanian schools
at Wrest Point Casino, Hobart. I just wanted to pass on my congratulations
to the Wakakirri co-ordinators, the students and all those involved in
such a wonderfully positive and visually spectacular series of performances.
As the father of one of the Snug Primary School students, naturally I
thought Snug's performance was exceptional but ALL schools did a marvellous
job at entertaining the audience while sending a clear message of what
makes our kids 'tick'. GREAT JOB EVERYONE. May the Wakakirri concept continue
to grow and develop. Proud Dad & proud Hobart citizen.
