STORY-TELLING SHOWCASE

Welcome to the Online Showcase of Wakakirri Story-Telling!

What is Story-Telling?
Wakakirri Story-Telling is the performance by students of a story using a combination of vocals and dramatics. The story can be performed live on stage, or if the school is 3 hours+ from a performance venue, it can be submitted on video. The oldest form of passing on stories and sharing culture is by telling a yarn around a campfire. Take away the campfire and add an audience (of often 1000 people or more) and you have Wakakirri Story-Telling. It's campfire monologue meets soapbox meets radio play.
