Qld Secondary Results

Previously it was advertised that we would release Queensland Primary overall State results - these results were to be determined by comparing all the schools performing from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Maryborough, Townsville, Toowoomba and Mackay. However, upon seeing the high quality of performances, this year, it has been decided that all Queensland regional winners will now be eligible for the National Story-Dance titles and as such, we will not be announcing a State Champion. All of the winners listed on this page are now official nominees for the National Title, and will also be featured in our National TV Special (Network TEN, 1st December 2:30 - 4:30)

Note: Over the next couple of weeks, videos of all the winning items will also be placed on our website (along with state winners from all over Australia) so you can watch the items in full and make up your own minds about who should win.

Sunshine Coast results Announced
Congratulations to all the schools who perfomed at the Events Centre in Caloundra. This year, schools in the Sunshine Coast area were the first lot of schools to perform their items for the 2007 season and the quality of the items set a very high benchmark for all those schools still to perform.

We were once again fortunate to have The Kartwheel Kids Gymnastics Academy performing as a showcase item within the festival. The Kartwheel Kids Gymnastics Academy was established in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in 2000. The club caters to approximatley 150 kids per week, offering non competitive programs including general gymnastics and circus arts for both boys and girls of all ages. Academy founder Rhonda Pacholke said, "I believe in giving our students every opportunity to perform in public and showcase their skills eg, Wakakirri, school fetes, nursing homes, Farm Fantastics, Coast Guard Regatta, Gymfest etc. A big thanks to Kartwheel Kids Gymnastics Academy for their involvement and their stellar sea-based performance.

Below you will find the overall results from the 3 nights of performances. The winners in each competition are now in the running for the National Titles that will be announced in December.
