On Writing

This site is very American, but looks at the univeral skills required to write a good story. There are some great tips here for students entering Story-Writing.

On Film-making

Film Education (this is actually a UK site for teachers of film, but has some really useful information)
School Torque (this is the official site for the SBD TV show produced by Secondary students - has some helpful tips)
Apple Education (contains information on software that might help you in your film-making like Garageband, a program used to create original soundtracks)
