The Wakakirri Prize
The Wakakirri Prize for Positive Impact is the ultimate award for schools to receive. In 2010, the Wakakirri Prize will be given out to one Wakakirri school. The prize is to acknowledge the efforts of the school who has created the most positive impact on the world around us. This school will be judged not only the strength of their Wakakirri work, but on how they have used their entry to spread awareness within their local and global community. We will also be looking at how students have put their message into practise within their school. You can be entering any Wakakirri competition/s to be eligible for the Wakakirri Prize.
We are taking nominations now in order to send a film crew out to the winning school and capture the behind-the-scenes story. We will then be sharing their amazing story with the rest of Australia throughout the festival.
This Nomination Form should be received by Friday 25th June - NOTE this date has been extended. You can apply using the link at the bottom of this page.
Your application will be viewed and assessed by a National Judging panel and then a shortlist of schools will be selecte.
If your school is shortlisted, Wakakirri will contact you to obtain additional supporting information, so please ensure that you have compiled your supporting documents.
Wakakirri will contact the Wakakirri Prize recipient by phone. A Wakakirri film crew will then visit your school to film certain aspects of your Wakakirri journey and your endeavour to win the Wakakirri Prize!
Shortlisted schools will appear in the Annual Wakakirri Anthology and on the Wakakirri Website.
