In 2011 we are offering every school registered to be a part of Wakakirri, a complimentary Information Session and Story-Dance Beginner PD Session for an unlimited number of teachers per school.
If you are new to Story-Dance the Beginner session will take you through all of the basic elements required to create a Wakakirri Story-Dance.
Please find below a description of each PD Session as well as a list of PD Session dates and venues across the country.
Intro Session/Beginner Story-Dance PD Session
If you are new to Wakakirri this session will give you a broad overview of what Wakakirri is all about and the different ways in which you can be a part of the festival. If you are new to Story-Dance or are interested in learning about the basic elements required to create a Wakakirri Story-Dance, the Beginner Session is for you. Judging Criteria, sets and props and story are some subjects that will be covered in the session.

Advanced PD Session
This session is a deeper exploration into selected elements of a Story-Dance and more importantly a chance for you to workshop your 2011 production with a panel of Wakakirri experts and gain invaluable feedback. Come prepared to discuss your 2011 entry. This is an advanced course on Story-Dance. Its recommended that you complete the Beginner Story-Dance Session.
